Proposal to layoff IT workers faces opposition

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -
The chairman of the Louisiana Civil Service Commission made a motion Wednesday to reject the DHH/UNO proposal that would possibly layoff 67 IT employees.
Members are pointing out they have not received the
information to make a decision in a timely manner.
Art Smith, a lawyer who was hired to represent two-thirds of those employees, said the proposal is poorly concocted and did not
involve any of those who would be affected.
